How Product Analytics Core WorksOlivier Dupuis2019-11-21T20:00:45+00:00
As a product owner, you want to understand how users are interacting with your product, in order to improve adoption and engagement, but also align the product’s success with business objectives.
Having an effective feedback loop is important to observe the behaviour of your users as you introduce new features and other improvements to your product.
To measure how improvements impact users individually and the business as a whole, we’ll first work with you and map out your tracking plan.
Such a tracking plan defines what are the most important events in your user’s journey and becomes the backbone to your analytical infrastructure.
Your tracking plan defined, we’ll implement the data collection process, which captures, cleans up, transforms, enhances and ultimately stores your events in a data warehouse.
We have a modular and opinionated approach to how we build our analytical stacks. We work closely with our partners to always improve our stacks and roll over those improvements to all our clients as we develop them.
A data warehouse is being made available to all our clients and becomes your single source of truth on user behaviour.
The data can be consumed through various means:
Analytical SaaS tools, such as Amplitude, Mixpanel and Google Analytics
BI softwares, such as Tableau and Power BI
Programming languages, such as R and Python.
We’ll work with you to setup at least one report that will give you fresh and relevant analytics on your user’s behaviour.
As you gain insights on your user’s behaviours, you’ll be in a better position to make the right decisions to improve your product.
Together with user interviews and other knowledge sources, you’ll now have a solid infrastructure at your disposal to really tighten your feedback loop.
